FAQ
How do I get to the venue?
The Secret Garden is just off the A20 on the outskirts of Ashford. The address is The Court Yard, Mersham-le-Hatch, Hythe Road, Ashford, Kent TN25 6NH.
There is parking at the venue for those who’d like to drive. Alternatively, you can get a number 10 bus from Ashford which stops very close to the venue.
I’m not local to Kent - where should I stay?
Ashford is the closest big town to the venue, but we also recommend Folkestone (Josh’s hometown) which is a lovely coastal town about 20-25 minutes’ drive or train journey to Ashford. There are lots of AirBnBs in surrounding villages too.
Is this an adults-only event?
It is, we want to make sure everyone is able to relax and enjoy themselves on the day. Please let us know if you have any concerns, we’d be happy to try and help out.
Can I take photos on the day?
Of course! We just ask that you don’t get in the way of our lovely photographer and videographer. Feel free to post and tag us in your photos, we’d love to see them.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel good! Don’t worry about a traditional wedding dress code - wear white, wear colour, wear whatever you’d like.
Do I need to bring a gift?
This is the first (and possibly only!) time we’ll have friends and family from across the world in one place. For that reason, the best gift would be a contribution to our wedding fund. If you’re one of those people travelling from overseas, please don’t feel obligated to contribute - we appreciate that you’re paying for travel and accommodation already, and that is a huge gift to us.
If you would like to contribute, you can send money via Paypal to soph.lynne@gmail.com
